Why the new Philips Zoom HealthyWhite packaging? Did the formula change ?Nite White owes its sleek new look to Philips, the new owner of Discus Dental, maker of Zoom! Nite White teeth whitening systems. The basic ACP formula has not changed, however, the gel now includes 50% more potassium nitrate to limit sensitivity and has an improved mint flavor.
What happened to Nite White® Excel-2 & Nite White® Excel-3 "Z" ?Nite White Excel-2 and Excel-3 "Z" have been replaced by Nite White Excel ACP. We do not currently offer Excel-2 (discontinued) or Excel-3 (discontinued), since any remaining available quantity is likely nearing its expiration date. Older gels may lose efficacy and/or may have altered dispensing properties.
So, then what's the difference between Nite White® Excel-3 "Z" & Nite White® ACP?The gel formulas are essentially the same, however, Excel ACP contains Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (ACP). ACP technology has been shown to reduce sensitivity and fade-back, while aiding in the prevention of caries. (ACP was previously known as Z-CP)
