Located in the Penestanan village, northwest of Ubud, Warung Mendez is one of the best local restaurants in the region. A five-minute drive north of downtown Ubud, Warung Bintang is all about freshness: the vegetables are picked from their own garden. Literally translated as mango honey, Manga Madu is the warung to visit with a big group of buddies. Their menu is vast as their dining space. Do try the coconut chicken and the nasi pecel, rice with crispy chicken and crackers.
